Homologation and Testing
Our in-house engineering team and design partners work together to develop innovative, user-friendly accessibility features to meet the needs of disabled individuals, families and public transport operators. We also undertake detailed testing and homologation to ensure that our products meet rigorous automotive certification standards.
EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval
Safety and reliability are our foremost concerns. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to meet the highest international safety standards, including European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA)*.
This provides your assurance that each of our products can be sold and registered in any EC member state. Test documents relating to ECWVTA approval are also likely to relate closely to standards required by similar automotive certification regulations beyond Europe.
In addition to whole vehicle type approval, Allied works with distribution partners and national government authorities to address additional, country-specific requirements. These may include, for example, administrative processes for vehicle registration or particular regulations regarding access for wheelchair occupants.
*Except drive-from wheelchair vehicles (Impulse), for which WVTA is not yet available.
